My ironic day

Well, I had code enforcement here today for a "final inspection" of my chicken coop and good news is I passed so my permit is approved. Bad news is that the code enforcement person will be back in one week to cite me for my brother's damn rv which is parked on the side of my house if it isn't gone. Oh, well. :banghead: Hey, bro, I put a For Sale sign on the rv.

His job is to FIND SOMETHING.... if it wasnt the RV he would have had a issue with how the grass in cut.

These towns are desperate for cash...... you think its wild now? what till the foreclosures start to pick up steam and towns are gonna go crazy with taxes rules and fee's increases

a taste of things to come.

Re: My ironic day

individual chicken coops have to be inspected for " codes " ? :shocked_ma:

they're chickens
i can see code standards for factories/chicken farms

Little Ant
if i may ask, how many chickens do you have ?
and at what number of chickens does one not need a " code inspection "

Re: My ironic day

I live within the city limits so I am "allowed" four chickens or four rabbits or a combination of no more than four and for this I must have a permit which is why the inspection was required. Believe me I would rather have avoided the whole business but I have one neighbor who I jokingly say has code enforcement on speed dial. Figured I couldn't get away without going legit on this one as its hard to hide the fact I have chickens. What a waste of time and effort to ensure my chickens are properly fed, sheltered and treated humanely. Of course I can keep these chickens as they are pets and not livestock. :sarc: I suppose if they realized that the one I think is a rooster is just staying until he's big enough for the dinner table I'm sure I would get a visit from some agency against cruelty to animals or whatever. Do these people have any idea where their chicken mcnuggets come from?

Make sure you also get government issued micro-chip tracking tags to put on those chickens,
ya know, to keep them safe:sarcasm:

Having sworn off anything that has "Mc" or "Nugget*" in it's description, I'm fairly certain it doesn't come from chickens. :puke:

*This of course does not include gold nuggets.
